First create a folder for yourself on the CHum 310 file server:
1. Follow the instructions on how to log into the CHum381 server.
2. Open the Students folder. Create a new folder there.
3. Rename the new folder using with your last name. For example, I would create a new folder with the name asay.
Now do the following:
1. Have your picture taken with the digital camera.
2. The photos will be deposited in the Students folder on the CHum 310 server. Photos will be numbered in the order they were taken.
3. Locate your photo by viewing a preview in the Mac Finder column view. If you are doing this outside of class open the photos in an application that will open JPEG files (e.g, on Windows, Paintshop Pro, on Mac Photoshop or Preview; on both you can open a JPEG in a web browser by using the Open File menu command; you can also open JPEGs with QuickTime player on either Mac or Windows.)
4. When you find your photo, copy it into your newly-created folder on the server.
5. Rename the photo using the format lastnameFirstInitial.jpg (e.g. asayD.jpg).
